Great talk! And all true! I strongly believe that what we eat significantly impacts our health, and that a lot of "illnesses" can be cured and avoided by simple dietary changes. It's not hard, either. Many of the convenience foods we pick-up at the grocery store can be made at home and won't have all of those things that the grocery store products contain (my girls love my homemade granola bars :).

Today, I picked up 5 lbs of tomatoes at our grocery store (they're locally grown hothouse tomatoes). I brought them home, threw them in a pot, cooked them for a bit, pureed them, and then put them in jars I've stored in the freezer. I did it so that I could have tomato sauce without having to buy canned tomatoes - which contain BPA - a toxic chemical. It was so easy to do, and while it takes a bit longer than picking up a can, I know that the product is safer than what Del Monte provides, and there's nothing in my tomato sauce (no benzoates), except tomato and a bit of salt.

I hope his talk will reach more people and wake folks up to what they're doing to themselves. Thanks for posting it.
