Gratuitous vacation photos

This was our first actual vacation in, um.... a long time. We went to Isle of Palms, South Carolina to stay with some relatives. Here are some cute kids who came with us...

Chaos Girl, anticipating the next wave

Chaos Girl, attacking the next wave

E5, making a sand castle

E5, enjoying a boat ride.

E5, realizing he's being photographed

Chaos Girl, debating whether to dive in

Me and Chaos Girl

... and e5, realizing he's not in the picture

Chaos Girl, after a long day of fun

E5, admiring some fish

Chaos Girl, preparing to fire on enemy ships

E5 was alternately camera-shy and camera-jealous, so it was harder to get good shots of him. Chaos Girl had a smile on her face the entire week. He loved the sand. She loved the water. And the sand.

Lots of fun. But I think we're all glad to be home...

You're baaaaaack!!! Wow, it looks like you had lots of fun in the water. Someday, someday, I'd like to play in the ocean again. Haven't done that since I was a kid.

Thanks everybody. Yes, a good time was had by all, mostly. We had a lot of fun, but we also realized how much we love the place we call home...

First off - glad everyone had a great time on vacation, even if there were some cold bugs circulating.
I've been wondering, how did the animals fare while you were away?
And lastly, nothing to do with the blog this time... I was flipping through a Hearth Song catalogue & thought of you guys -- there were some good sensory related items. In case you're curious, or have ample time on your hands... (knowing how much free time you get at home!) :)

jbtw - One of our neighbors watched the animals while we were away, and they're all still happy and healthy.

Of course some are happier than others...

Sensory is definitely good, though sound isn't quite as big for her. But worth checking out...
