Ouch...

Just for reference, it's hard to blog if your wrist looks like this:

It's hard to do a great many things, actually. Sleep being foremost in my mind right now.

I'd advise against anything that might result in a similar outcome.

Oh, my wrist aches in sympathy! Heal fast so you can let us know what happened. Oh, and get some sleep, too.

Eeek! Not what you needed right now, eh? Good luck and healing thoughts your way!

After putting a kid to bed, I went out after dark to lock up the chickens for the night. I was dumb enough to leave some unyielding fencing material (a cattle panel laying flat, with one end bent upward) right in the path to the chicken pen. Caught my first leg about mid-shin. My other leg came forward to catch my balance and hit the same obstacle. With a nice firm pivot point on both legs, my body came down hard on my outstretched hand.

After a second of mind-bending pain, I mentally predicted the word "shattered" in my future. After a couple hours of the aforementioned pain, my prediction came true. Broke both the ulma and radius near my wrist.

Feeling quite a bit better already, though it still hurts like crazy. It's all relative.

The moral? Chickens cause broken bones...

So will you be roasting or frying them?

Hope you are on the mend (literally) in quick order.

I feel for ya...

Not to minimize your pain, but the moral made me laugh. :)

Hope you have a speedy recovery!
